Sonya, a teacher from the city of Mosinsk, unexpectedly wins fifteen million in the lottery. Anyone would be happy to win, but Sonya is embarrassed in front of her colleagues. She is already thinking about giving up the money, but her daughter Lena, mother Antonina Vasilyevna and ex-husband Sergei are already going to go with her to Moscow to collect the winnings. Sonya decides to use this situation to tell on television about the destruction of a historical monument in her hometown – the house of merchant Zhurov. Sonya embarks on a journey with her mother, daughter, ex-husband Sergei, and former classmate and now successful Moscow journalist Viktor, who has been in love with her since high school. But the heroes can't even imagine what kind of adventure they're going to have.
