Because of her cuckoo mother, who is infatuated with another man, young Katya ends up on the street and is forced to take care of herself. Following her dream, she enters an aviation technical school to study to become a flight attendant, but her plans are ruined by a meeting with Alexei, from whom she became pregnant. Having given birth to a girl, she was left absolutely alone without help or support. Realizing that a child is an unbearable burden for her, Katya is forced to give up her daughter.

It would seem that everything is getting better - Katya continues her studies and becomes a flight attendant. But as a result of an absurd accident, she ends up in a colony for 10 years... All these years she thinks only about her daughter - she is tormented by her conscience that she left her child. Upon release, Katya finds her daughter's adoptive parents and learns that she has died...
